Marlin E Bailey

Marlin E. Bailey, 82, of Susquehanna Ave. Sunbury, PA passed away on January 18, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center.  He was born in Shamokin Dam on January 31, 1935.

Marlin graduated from Selinsgrove High School in 1953.  He served his country in the US Navy Reserves. He married Marlene A. (Smith) Kinsley.  He worked as a laborer at Celotex in Sunbury retiring from there in 2005.

Marlin loved working in his vegetable garden alongside Marlene who worked in the flower garden.  They enjoyed traveling to destinations like Hawaii. He fished the Susquehanna River and spent his leisure time reading science and history books. 

Marlin is survived by his wife and children:  son Douglas W. and his wife Elizabeth Kinsley of Northumberland, son Gavin K. Bailey of Sunbury, four grandchildren:  Angela M. and husband Jesse Chubb, Michael D. Kinsley, Courtney M. Snook, and Brittney N. and husband Trent Blair, and sister Maxine Hill of Jersey Shore.

Marlin was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Betty and Marion.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are made by the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA 17801.
