Heinz C Pflug

Heinz C. Pflug, 67, of 130 S. Front St. Sunbury, PA passed away at The Manor at Penn Village on July 7, 2015. He was born on October 22, 1947 at the Sunbury Community Hospital Sunbury, PA  to the late Heinz O. and Beatrice I. (Lytle) Pflug. 

Heinz was a 1966 graduate of Shikellamy High School.

Heinz was a member of St. Monica Church in Sunbury, PA. He was a labourer most of his life at Young Door,  JELD-WEN and Phillips Industries for twenty-two years.

He is survived by two brothers: Jerry L. Pflug of Edison Ave. Sunbury, and Donald Ray of Northumberland, PA, and two nieces: Debra Candelora of Shamokin, PA and Carlene Leib of Millersburg, PA.

Heinz was predeceased by his wife Gail Pflug, brother Carl Pflug and sister Joyce M. Bengochea.

Heinz was an avid fan of all Philadelphia sports teams:  the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and Sixers as well as Notre Dame.  He was an athlete who especially enjoyed baseball and basketball. He was a member of the F. O. Eagles 503.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday July 12, 2015 from 6:30 pm. to 8:30 pm. at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA.  A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 1 pm. at the  St. Monica Church Market St. Sunbury, PA with Rev. Bruno Dongo AJ officiating.  Interment will follow at the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington, PA.
