Nancy L (Martz) Dorman

Nancy L. Dorman, 85, of Susquehanna Ave. Sunbury, PA, a resident of Buffalo Valley Nursing Center Lewisburg, PA passed away on February 5, 2017. Nancy was born in Sunbury, PA on May 28, 1931 the daughter of the late Herbert and Pearl Martz. She married William C. Dorman on December 9, 1950 who passed in 2012.

Nancy graduated Sunbury High School. She clerked at J. C. Penney in Sunbury, and then at the Susquehanna Valley Mall, until her retirement. She was fond of knitting and sewing and an avid reader. Her joy was hosting holiday dinners and attending her grandchildren’s activities especially attending Josh’s wedding in New Orleans. She also enjoyed watching tennis and rooting for both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football teams. She was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church when her health was better.

Nancy is survived by her children: Joyce L. (husband Harry E.) Holliday of Winfield, Jan M. (husband Charles K.) Young of Sunbury, Jeffrey W. (wife Valerie) Dorman of Sunbury, grandchildren: Josh, Aleisha, Andy and Jennifer and great grandchildren: Kalina, Mila, Jonathan and Sydney and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by two grandchildren Raine and Sara Kime and siblings: Shirley Eckman, Pearl Shannon, Jeanette Snyder, Paul and Herbert Martz.

A memorial service will be announced.
