Dylan J Weikel

January 15, 1992 ~ July 2, 2016 (age 24) 24 Years Old

Dylan James Weikel, 24, of 544 Edison Ave. Sunbury, PA went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on July 2, 2016 in West Palm Beach, FL. After a long struggle Dylan is now at peace in Jesus’ arms, with family and friends who went before him. Dylan was born on January 15, 1992 in Lewisburg, PA the son of James D. and Paula (Korbich) Weikel who survive.

Dylan was a beautiful active child with a bright smile. He excelled at sports throughout elementary and middle school playing basketball, football and soccer.  Dylan earned his GED.

As a teenager Dylan enjoyed skate boarding, music and friends. Within the last two years Dylan was devoted to his precious child Mason and being a loving daddy to him.

Dylan is survived by his precious son Mason and Mason's mom Kayla Fisher both of Northumberland, his mom and sister Paula and Haley Weikel, and his dad James Weikel and companion Jamie Davis, as well as maternal grandmother Jane Korbich and his great grandmother Esther Pardoe all of Sunbury. Dylan is also survived by aunts and uncles: Lori and Kriss Berry of Northumberland; Greg and Michelle Korbich of Sunbury; Denise and Richard Kemp of Delaware and Chris Weikel and companion Heather Derk of Shamokin. 

Friends and family may visit at the Albright Center, Chestnut and Fifth Sts., Sunbury PA. from 10 to 11:30 am on Saturday, July 16, 2016. A celebration of life service will begin at 11:30 with dear friend and pastor Mark Gittens officiating. A lunch will follow in the social hall. 

In lieu of flowers a fund has been set up for Mason Fisher at Service First Credit Union. Donations can be made in person or by mail to any branch.  Arrangements are made by the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA. Condolences may be made at davidzweierfuneralhome.com.
