Sunbury – Tyrone N. Thomas, 73, of Front Street, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg.
Tyrone was born July 30, 1947 in Sunbury a son of the late Arthur S. and H. Jean (Farringer) Thomas.
He was a 1965 graduate of Northumberland High School and served as the class treasurer.
Tyrone worked for Fleetwood Motor Homes as a parts and service manager until his retirement.
He was a member of the Knoebels Golf Course and a member, sponsor and treasurer for AA.
Tyrone greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. He also enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by two sons Tyson N. Thomas of Trevorton and Dean Clevanger of VA, his daughter Tonya N. Casto and her fiance’ Jimmy Bingaman of Selinsgrove, grandchildren Tiffany, Courtney, Caytlynne, Danielle, Braydan, Rydur and Jaxtyn, great grandchildren Owen, Ariel and Mateo, brother and sister-in-law Arthur and Lynnette Thomas of Sunbury, sister and brother-in-law Sue and Greg Hare of Shamokin Dam, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his best friend and ex-wife Joan D. Thomas.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 14 at 12:00pm in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, 1026 Packer Street, Sunbury.
Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
