Steven E. Leitzel

Northumberland – Steven E. Leitzel, 64, of Susquehanna Road, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at his home.

Steven was born November 11, 1956 in Sunbury a son of the late Eugene S. and Jeanne M. (Brame) Leitzel. On March 22, 1986 he married the former Stacey A. McCartney.

He was a 1974 graduate of Selinsgrove High School and a graduate of Davis and Elkins College in West Virginia.

He owned and operated the Nooning House and Stingers Bar in Riverside.

Steven was an avid golfer, enjoyed shooting pool and playing poker, however, his greatest joy came from hanging out with his grandkids and dogs. 

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Zachary Leitzel and his significant other Christina King of Portland, OR, his daughter and son-in-law Heather and Jason Foust of Sunbury, grandchildren Brayden, Ruby, Brynn, Harper and Till, brother Michael Leitzel of Northumberland, sister Mimi Arcuri of Freeburg and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Mark Arcuri and nephew John Michael Arcuri.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 19 at 1:00pm in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.

Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
