Shirley Kratzer

Northumberland – Shirley Kratzer, 85, a resident of Heather Court at Nottingham Village passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020.

Shirley was born December 21, 1934 in Sunbury, the daughter of the late Russel and Helen (Schwallenberg) Felix.  July 19, 1953 she married Richard J. Kratzer who preceded her in death in 2015.

She was a graduate of Sunbury High School.  For many years she served as assistant treasurer of the Central Keystone Federal Employees Credit Union and was also a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Sunbury.

In addition to being a loving mother and grandmother, she was very musically and artistically talented.  She will always be remembered for her paintings which she generously shared with her friends and family.  She also enjoyed knitting and was a member of The Knitwits as well as a member of the Kazoo Band.  She was also an avid traveler and had visited all 50 states and several foreign countries.

Shirley is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Keith and Tammy Kratzer of Lititz, two daughters and sons-in-law Kim and Mark Cuomo of Spring Mills, Kathy and Jack Pyers of Selinsgrove, grandchildren Justin, Lauren, Stephanie, Dana, Nathan, Jesse and Aja, and twelve great grandchildren.  Her family will deeply miss her along with her  strength, her humor and her kindness.

Services will be private.  Interment will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.

Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
