Nancy Jane Benner

Northumberland – Nancy Jane Benner,  90, of Ironstone Drive passed away Saturday

November 7, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. 

Nancy was born November 13, 1929 in Sunbury a daughter of the late Norman and Mary (Harrison) Stahl.  She married Ned O. Benner who preceded her in death April 30, 1995.

She was a 1947 graduate of Sunbury High School.

Nancy attended and was very involved with St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Shamokin Dam.

She loved traveling with her husband, camping, quilting at church and working out at Planet Fitness.

Nancy will be fondly remembered for always offering and sharing any food she could.  She never left anyone leave hungry.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-In-Law Timothy A. and Jill Benner of Boiling Springs, Steven A. and Karen Benner of Coplay, six grandchildren Andrew, Nicholas, Daniel, Jessica, Abigail and Zachary, and five great -grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers Richard and George Stahl.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to her church, St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 3249 N Old Trail, Shamokin Dam, PA   17876.

Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
