Esther Eisely Obituary

Esther Eisely, 83, of Shamokin Dam, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 10, 2020, at Maria Hall in Danville.

She was born July 23, 1936, in Mazeppa. In 1954, she married Albert Eisely Jr. who preceded her in death in March 1994. She was also preceded in death by her son, David Eisely in October 2014.

She was a member of the former Albright United Methodist Church and more recently Faith United Methodist Church, Sunbury.

Esther was a caring and loving person always thinking of others first. She was a woman of strong Protestant faith. Her greatest passion for life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her and will remain forever in the hearts of her family.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and William Cooper; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Eisely; four grandsons, Christopher Eisely, Michael Cooper, Anthony Cooper and Tyler Cooper; one granddaughter, Nicole Eisely; five great-grandchildren, Katelyn Eisely, Ryan Eisely, Christopher Noecker, Sawyer Cooper and Liam Harvey; two sisters, Joyce McComas and Stelva Jean Musser; and one brother, Larry Reitz. 

At her request, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life memorial gathering will take place at a later date.

Private burial will take place with immediate family. 

The family would like to send a special thank you to Geisinger at Home, Home Health Services, and Hospice Care from Maria Hall in Danville.
