Deborah J. Worhach passed away July 28, 2023 surrounded by her family.
She was born June 22, 1955 in Wilmington, Delaware, a daughter of the late Joseph Foley and Shirley (Williams) Stelma.
She enjoyed music, traveling, camping, casinos, bird and squirrel-watching, and spending time with her family, especially her Granddaughters and Great-Granddaughter.
Deb was a devoted Mother, Nana, and friend. Her love for her family was endless. She had a true zest for life and loved to laugh and have fun. She had a great sense of humor and valued punctuality. She loved animals, Cheez Its, and John Prine. She had a huge heart and will be missed by those who knew and loved Nana. Her family would like to thank all of her lifelong friends who kept her in good spirits with calls, cards and visits over the years.
Surviving are her sons Jason Worhach and wife Stephanie of Elysburg, Christopher Worhach and wife Christy of Northumberland, and daughter Sara Frederick and husband Douglas of Hamilton, NJ. Grandchildren Kaitlyn Fabian and husband Brett, Peyton Worhach, Hazel Jayne Frederick, and Great Granddaughter Ellie June Fabian. Her beloved cat Layla and her snuggle buddy Bailey. Many Grand fur babies including Ben, Sadie, Chase, Stella, Zoey, Shelby, and Jo Jo. Brothers Andrew Stelma and Michael Stelma and Sisters Abbie Timmins, Laurie Merlo, and Marie Evert and several Nieces and Nephews. Deborah was preceded in death by a Brother Paul Stelma and Sister Linda (Foley) Dietz.
There will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Cemetery on Saturday August 12th at 10:00 am officiated by Charles North, Lay Pastor of Chillisquaque Presbyterian Church, Potts Grove. Blank Funeral Home of Sunbury is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the SPCA. Donations of non-perishable snack items can be delivered to the Oncology Department at the Knapper Clinic at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date for all family and friends.
