Cynthia Rae Tressler

Sunbury - Cynthia Rae "Cindy" Tressler, 70 passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020, surrounded by her family at ManorCare.
She was born February 16, 1949 in Sunbury a daughter of Rae Campbell Adams and the late Charles Adams. On November 10, 1970 she married William L. Tressler who survives.
Cindy was a 1967 graduate of Shikellamy High School. In 1970 she received her degree as a registered nurse from the Geisinger School of Nursing.  She started her nursing career in the Geisinger Medical Center Pediatrics Department. She later gained employment at ManorCare, Sunbury and eventually retired after 13 years of service as the school nurse for the Oaklyn Elementary School.
Cindy enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and completing jigsaw puzzles. She was an avid reader and had a great love of dogs and the joy of taking them for walks.
In addition to her mother and husband of 49 years, Cindy is survived by, two sons and one daughter-in-law, William L. Tressler II of Wilmington, DE, Kevin A. and Cheryl Tressler of Sunbury, three grandchildren, Griffin, Sophie and Harrison Tressler and two brothers, Charles "Rob" Adams of Selinsgrove and Jeffrey Adams of Greensboro, NC.
She was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, Christine  Amy Tressler
Friends and family may call from 10:00am to 11:00am Wednesday at the Zweier Funeral Home 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury where funeral services will begin at 11:00am with Rev. Glen Keidel officiating.
Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
