Sunbury - Alma M. (Bastian) Kohl, 91, of Front Street, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020. She was born September 29, 1929 in Sunbury a daughter of the late Truman E. and Edith (Hummel) Bastian. In 1977 she married Roy L. Kohl, who survives.
She attended Sunbury High School and was a member of the New Covenant Church in Sunbury. She played the organ for the church and enjoyed singing gospels and old hymns.
Alma’s hobbies included knitting, plastic canvas, camping and horseback riding. She will always be fondly remembered for her teasing.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Serena and Wayne McGraw of Mifflinburg and Eileen and john Haas of Sunbury. Five grandchildren Brin-Daylene Levinson, Philip Levinson III, Eric Wendt, Jeremy and Benjamin Haas, 11 great grandchildren, nephew Glenn Bastian. She was preceded in death by her daughter Daylene Kay App and her brother Horatio Ray Bastian.
In lieu of flowers donations in Alma’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 1704 Warren Avenue, Williamsport, PA 17701.
