Robert W. Oyster

Sunbury - Robert W. Oyster, 50 of Race Street passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Bob was born December 13, 1968 in Lewisburg a son of the late Rev. Warren and Marie (Feese) Oyster. On June 12, 2005 he married the former Beverly E. Flemming who survives.
He was employed with The Daily Item and most recently at Wendy's in Selinsgrove.
As a member of the United States Bowling Congress, Bob had a great love and talent for bowling.  He was a member of many championship bowling leagues and enjoyed teaching the game to others. Along with bowling, Bob was an sports fan, following the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Phillies and NASCAR's Tony Stewart. He also enjoyed the outdoors an avid hunter.
In addition to his wife of 14 years he is survived by his brother, Kenneth E. Oyster of Sunbury, sister, Carol A. Oyster of Milton, nieces and nephews, Christine, Matthew, Rebekah and Leilani and great-niece, Hope, and close friends, Richard T. and Cindy S. Adams.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Ben I. Oyster.
Friends and family may call from 11:00am to 12:00pm Friday at the Zweier Funeral Home 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury followed by the funeral service at 12:00pm.
Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
