Phyllis Loraine (Lehman) Hummel , 86, of Northumberland , PA passed away on August 31, 2018 at Nottingham in Northumberland.
Phyllis was born on September 16, 1931 at the Mary Packer Hospital, a daughter of the late John R. and Madeline H. (Fisher) Lehman.
She attended Sunbury schools.
She married Elwood H. Hummel on November 22, 1950 and they reared a family of four in Sunbury until his passing in 1973.
She worked as wife and mother and was also employed as a sales associate for Lehman’s Restaurant, Diana Shop, Carvel Ice Cream, and CA Reed, she retired in 1991.
She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, but all children brightened her life. She baked delicious Christmas goodies. One of her life’s highlights was attending grandson Jason’s wedding in Florida.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Lynn Snyder and husband Ron of Sunbury, Randy Hummel and wife Laura Rivero of Miami, FL, Lisa Weston and husband David Hummel of Northumberland, Lori Hummel of Bel Air, MD, grandchildren, Robert and wife Tara, Heather and husband Lon, Jason and wife Adriana, James and wife Heather, Sean, Mark, Morgan and wife Madi, great grandchildren, Willow, Wren, Maya, Ahlena, Ian, Chloe, Caeden, Keagen, Gwendolynn, Madison, and sister, Cheryl Spatzer and husband John of Sunbury, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, companion of twenty years, George Marks, siblings, John R (Bobby). Lehman, Suann L. White, and Nancy Billman.
Friends and family may visit the Grace Lutheran Church on Spruce St. Sunbury on Friday September 7, 2018 from 10-11 am. An 11 am memorial service will be officiated by Pastor Kris Brown, Please wear something purple to remember Phyllis. An internment will follow at St. Elias Church Cemetery, Sunbury
