Selinsgrove - Nancy E. Wolfe, 73 of Meadowbrook Drive passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
She was born August 5, 1946 in Sunbury a daughter of the late John E. and Crystal m. (Rebuck) Reed. On July 24, 1970 she married Michael L. Wolfe who preceded her in death on September 14, 2015.
Nancy was a graduate of Westlane Secondary School, Niagara Falls, ON, Canada. She then received certification after completing the Geisinger LPN Nursing Program.
For more than 40 years, Nancy was employed at the Sunbury Community Hospital as an LPN in the hospitals operating room.
Mrs. Wolfe was a faithful member of the First Reformed United Church of Christ, Sunbury.
Nancy was a collector of Boyd's Bears and Longaberger Baskets and always looked forward to the cousins annual weekend trip to the Longaberger Factory in Dresden, OH. She found great joy in playing Bingo, the slot machines on casino trips and other games of chance. Her greatest joy came from time with her extended family including the "cousins' night out" and the annual family reunions. Her love for being around others continued while gathering with her coworkers, both active and those retired.
She is survived by her son, David M. Wolfe of CA, granddaughter, Julia Wolfe, one brother, Robert Reed, nieces, Cindy, Crissy and Charlene Reed and nephew, Jason Reed.
In addition to her parents and husband of 45 years, Nancy was preceded in death by, two brothers, Charles and Richard Reed and one sister, Susan Reed.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the First Reformed United Church of Christ, 160 Chestnut Street, Sunbury, PA 17801 with Pastor Lynn Schmoyer officiating. A fellowship meal, at the church, will follow the funeral services and interment will be at a later date.
