Marilyn M. “Pinkey” Stewart, 70, of Williamsport, and formerly of Sunbury, passed away at Williamsport Hospital on Sunday, April 29, 2018. She was born in Sunbury, PA on February 9, 1948, the daughter of the late Lois “Snook” (Brownwell) Adams.
Marilyn was the very first graduate of the first class of Shikellamy High School in 1966. She married Glenn Stewart who passed in 2006.
She was employed at the Edison Hotel and was a certified nurses assistant at Valley View Nursing Home.
Pinkey loved to read. She took care of her family and was an excellent care-giver. She loved her dog “Sandy.”
She is survived by Robert and Bernadette Brownwell, Linda Mossbrooks, Joan and John Myers, Edna and Paul Harmon, Kathryn and Pete Mitch, many second cousins and her dear friend Nancy Diggs, and God-daughter Tobi Allen.
She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 10 to 11 am at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc., 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA. An 11 am. funeral service will be held with Pastor Robert Brownwell officiating. Interment will follow at the Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam, PA.
