Joseph J. McDermott, 76, of South Riverbreeze Avenue, Winfield, passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg
He was born July 12, 1943, in Tamaqua, a son of the late Francis J. and Marie (Stahlar) McDermott.
Joseph was a 1961 graduate of Marion Catholic High School.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Parrish J. and Lisa A. McDermott and family of Sunbury, and Sean M. McDermott of Shamokin; two grandchildren, Damian and Anique; one brother, T.P. “Butch” McDermott of White Plains, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Louise, Patricia and Marie; two brothers, Tom and Robert; and his ex-wife, Susan Claire Kelley.
At his request there will be no funeral services.
Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury.
