Janis L. (Deal) Deivert

Janis L. Deivert, 72, of Tenth Street, Northumberland, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born Aug. 27, 1946, in Sunbury, a daughter of late James R. and Helen L. (Meekins) Deal.

Janis was a 1965 graduate of Sunbury High School. 
For many years she was employed as a credentialing specialist for Geisinger Health Systems.
She was a member of the Sunbury Order of the Eastern Star and the Continental Fire Company, Danville.
Janis was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed attending NASCAR races and supporting her favorite teams including the Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Flyers and Penn State. However, her favorite times were spent attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

Janis is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Traci L. and Ty C. Sees of Northumberland, and Staci L. and Stacey L. Puckey of Danville; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason J. and Jennifer A. Deivert of Northumberland; six grandchildren, Morgan, Connor, Taylor, Jillian, Matthew and Mackenzie; and her fiance Ron E. Anderson.

Friends and family may visit from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Aug. 2, at the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at noon, with Pastor Mark Gittens officiating.
Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
