Jan L Hoffman

Jan L. Hoffman, 67, of 130 S. Front St. Sunbury, PA passed away on March 17, 2017 in his home. He was born in Sunbury on November 12, 1949 the son of the late Benjamin F. andVirginia (Koppenheffer) Hoffman.

Jan graduated Shikellamy High School in 1969. He joined the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War era. He was employed as a laborer at the Sunbury Textile Mill until his retirement. Jan volunteered as a Sunbury Fire Policeman earlier in his life. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing at the Trails End Family Camp. He enjoyed watching Penn State football.

Jan is survived by his daughters Heather J. Bucher of Sunbury and Amber L. Clark of Northumberland, grandchildren: John A. Bucher Jr., Madelyn A. Bucher and Alyssa N. Bucher, sister Toni Ann Pulley of KY, and brothers Chris A. (Sherry) Hoffman of Holidaysburg, and Jesse K. (Melinda A.) Hoffman of Selinsgrove and many nieces and nephews.

Jan was preceded in death by his parents and brother Michael F. Hoffman.

Friends and family may visit at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA. on Wednesday March 29, 2017 from 10 am. until the 11 am. funeral service with Rev. Dave Dressler officiating.
