Jacqueline E. Witmer

Sunbury - Jacqueline E. "Jackie" Witmer, 87 of Fort Augusta Avenue passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at "The Mansion" for Nursing and Rehabiliation.

Jackie was born July 8, 1931 in Shamokin a daughter of the late Lewis and Marion (Evans) Witmer.

She attended Shamokin Schools and was later employed by Rea & Derick, Sunbury, was a waitress, was a salesperson for Feeses', Trevorton and was a bridal consultant for James Fashion and Bridals, Shamokin.

She attended Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church in Shamokin.

Ms. Witmer enjoyed listening to Christian music and viewing the Lawrence Welk Show as well as Polka Time. She had a great love for her Welsh Corgi, Sadie and her daughters dog, Angel.

Jackie is survived by one daughter, Marion E. Ramer, Sunbury, two grandchildren, Marion L. Walls, Northumberland, Isaac L. Ramer, Jr. and wife Jody, Selinsgrove, great-grandchildren, Jordan Tressler, Drew Kuhns and wife, Vanessa, Izabel Ramer and Sophia Ramer, great-great-grandchildren, Jaxson Tressler and Harper and Grady Kuhns and her special caregiver, Cathy Stauffer.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Robert C. "Curt" Yost. 

A viewing will be held from 9-10am Wednesday at Bethany Evangelical Church 1001 Susquehanna Ave., Sunbury with funeral services following at 10:00am with Pastor Joshua Notestine officiating.

Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery.
