Doris I. Lewis

Doris I. Lewis passed away on September 7 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, one month shy of her 93rd birthday.  She was the daughter of the late Leroy and Hilda (Naylor) Conrad.  Doris graduated from Sunbury High School in 1944, and married the love of her life, the late Trevor Lewis, one year later when Trevor was home on leave from the Navy during World War II.  She was a longtime member of Faith United Methodist Church, Sunbury.

Doris is survived by her son, Trevor Lewis II, and his partner, Matthew Goulet and her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth (Meehan) Lewis.  She has two grandsons, Mark and Michael and five great grandchildren, Madison, Miles, Norman, Sophia, and John.

Predeceasing Doris are her sons Mark and Trevor Allen and her brother Howard Conrad.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 13th at 11:00am at Faith United Methodist Church, 203 Arch Street, Sunbury with Pastor Ronald Troup officiating.  Burial will follow at Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.  In lieu of flowers contributions in Doris’s name may be made to Faith United Methodist Church.

Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
