Domer J. "Jim" Neidig

February 24, 1941 ~ December 13, 2017 (age 76) 76 Years Old


Domer J. "Jim" Neidig, 76, of Shipman Road, Sunbury, passed away at his home on December  13, 2017. He was born in Sunbury on February 24, 1941 the son of the late Domer G. and Laura Elda (Wolfe) Neidig. 
He attended Mahanoy Joint schools and served his country in the US Army 46th Engineering Battalion in Greenland and Vietnam where he found life long friendships and a band of brothers. He maintained those friendships often visiting New Mexico to do so. Jim was a crack mechanic and handyman repairing family vehicles, even building his own home. He worked hard, but proudly, the right way, with the Operating Engineers 542 throughout the state during his career.
Jim was a member of the Herndon Masonic Lodge #702, the Loyal Order of MOOSE #2050, the Disabled American Veterans, a VFW in NM, and the Commanders Club. 
He is survived by his companion of many years, Debbie F. Brouse of Sunbury, brother Ronald (Joy):Neidig of Sunbury, sister Lois Seiler of Sunbury and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Harold Neidig. 
Friends and family may meet at the Wolfe’s Crossroads Cemetery on Monday at 11 am.  A graveside service with honor guard will be officiated by Kurt Francis staff pastor assisted by Richard Simpson Company Command
