Deborah J. Hilbert, 62, of 320 S Fourth St. Sunbury, PA passed away on March 13, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center due to complications from pneumonia. She was born in Sunbury on March 6, 1955 the daughter to the late Belford and Marjorie (Slough) Forry.

Debby graduated Shikellamy High School in 1973. In September of 1998 she married Gary Hilbert Jr. in Las Vegas and got lucky because her family grew immensely. She worked as a waitress in various restaurants and was last employed at Dollar General in Sunbury. She was a life member of the Hummels Wharf Fire Company.

Debby was very close too her family. They meant the world to her. She was a devoted wife, sister, daughter and took excellent care of her mother until her passing. She loved orange Tabby cats and her two “boys” “Sheldon” and “Spencer.”

Debby is survived by her loving husband Gary Hilbert Jr., one son, Jeremy Hummel and his wife Yvette and two grandchildren Julian and Violet of Selinsgrove, two sisters Ginger Gheen and Marjorie (Billie) Yost and her husband Robert all of Sunbury.

Debby will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews Bill Gheen, Jr. of Shamokin, Adam Gheen and Emily Yost of Sunbury. Erica and her husband Dan Hardesty of York, PA and their three children. One aunt, Lois Slough of Sunbury.

Also surviving are step-son Greg Hilbert and his three sons: Dauntaye, Dreyden, D’Treyvien of Lykens, brother in law Roger and Theresa Hilbert and their four children of Selinsgrove, sisters in law: Dawn Lytle and her two children of Sunbury, Nancy and Wayne Bickhart and four children of Mifflinburg, Pam and Scott Taylor and three children of Olive Branch, Mississippi, her mother in law Mary and Donald Gallagher of Sebring, FL and step mother in law Kathy Hilbert of Selinsgrove.

Debby was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, brother in law Bill Gheen and father in law Gary Hilbert, Sr.

Friends and family may visit (dress is casual) at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA. on Sunday March 26, 2017 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 4 pm. with Woody Wolfe officiating,.
