David G. RADEL, 68, of 200 Ivy Lane Northumberland, PA passed away on July 10, 2017  surrounded by his family.  David was born in Sunbury on April 17, 1949 the son of the late Simon and Pauline (Leitzel)  Radel.

David graduated from Shikellamy High School in 1968.  He married Patricia L. Herman (nee Carr) on June 13, 1987.   He loved caring for his family with Patricia on Ivy Lane.  He worked hard in his business career starting as a sales employee of W. M Wagner in Winfield; working long hours, he eventually became the owner of this industrial pump sales business.  He loved his wife, family and grandchildren, spending time with them, and quietly helping people as the needs became known to him.  He enjoyed wood working and golfing in his spare time.

David is survived by his wife and children and their spouses:  Debra L. and Jody Carl of Sunbury, Heather J. and Scott Toevs of Northumberland, and Timothy A. Herman of Melbourne, FL, four grandchildren: Marcy Carl-Patterson, Alexa Toevs, Amanda Carl, and Derrick Toevs, three great grandchildren: Brady Patterson, Chase Patterson, and Amalliah Carl, siblings Leon Rising of Elkton, MD, Robert and Ann Rising of Selinsgrove and Judy and Ray Walz of Sunbury.

David was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Zakkary Herman and sister Shirley Hand.

Friends and family may call at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, on Thursdayfrom 6 to 8 pm.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 am. July 14, 2017 with Pastor Mike Sweigard officiating.  Interment will follow at the Orchard Hill Cemetery, Shamokin Dam, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice, Alzheimer's Foundation or Hospice of Evangelical Hospital 235 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
