Arthur "Artie" W. Rohrbacher, Jr., 74, of N. 11th St. Sunbury, passed away at his home on October 5, 2017. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, August 13, 1943 the son of the late Arthur W. and Vera (Luisi) Rohrbacher, Sr. He graduated from Erasmus HS, NY and joined the US Army serving in Alaska.  He was an account analyst for Con-Edison for eighteen years. He married Cheryl A Raup on Christmas Day, 2016.  He was a member of St. Monica Church.  Artie loved volunteering and serving in the Eagles, the American Legion Post 201, the Stonington Fire Company and with the Knights of Columbus.  Everyone knew Artie from town with his infectious smile and wonderful sense of humor.  He also was a fan of the NY baseball Mets and NY football Giants.
Artie is survived by his wife Cheryl, son Stephen A. and Linda Rohrbacher of Staten Island, NY, daughter Debra J. Slavin of Santa Clarita, CA, son Gregory R. Rohrbacher of CA and step daughter Sarah E. Hartman of Brighton, MA, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Friends and family may visit at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc., 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, on Monday from 6-8 pm, Visiting continue on Tuesday from 10:30-11 am. at the Saint Monica Church. Mass of Christian burial at 11 am with Rev. Fred Wagwe, AJ officiating.  Interment will follow at Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington, PA.  Memorial contributions may be made to either St. Monica Church or American Legion Post 201 both in Sunbury.  Condolences may be made at davidzweierfuneralhome.com.
