Aliee M (Courogen) Reed

Ailee M. Reed, 91, of Shamong NJ, formerly of Northumberland, passed away at the Virtua Marlton Hospital, Medford, NJ on July 1, 2018. She was born in Sunbury on April 21, 1927 the daughter of the late Christ M. and Myrtle M. (Vought) Courogen.

Ailee was a 1945 graduate of Northumberland HS. She married the late John E. “Ted” Reed Sr.  She was employed as a secretary at Leg’lon Forge Flo. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Northumberland.

She is survived by her son John E. Reed, Jr. of Shamong, NJ, son in law Craig Simpson of Selinsgrove, grandchildren: Nikole, Sloan, Pierce and Loralee, four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, sister Rose Marie and Husband John “Bud” Rodkey of Mifflinburg, two nieces and  four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Linda G. Simpson, grandson Jacob, and brother Michael C. Courogen.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am Saturday at the Lincoln Chapel Cemetery, Hartley Township in Union Co.

Memorial contributions may be made to any Alzheimer's organization.
