Terry Yordy Obituary

Northumberland - Terry L. Yordy, 82 of Madison Ave. passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.

Terry was born June 9, 1941 in Stonington a son of the late Lee and Mildred (Reichley) Yordy. On April 13, 1962 he married the former Ruth Ann Walter who survives. 

He attended Shamokin High School.  Terry served in the Army following the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post #44, Northumberland. 

Mr. Yordy retired from American Home Foods formerly, Chef Boyardee after 40 years of service.

Terry was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Northumberland.

He was a member of the Northumberland Fire Co. #1, the Northumberland Hook and Ladder and the Sunbury Social club.

His greatest joy came from hunting with his son, Tim and trips to the casino.

In addition to his wife of nearly 62 years, Terry is survived by; his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy L. and Carol L. Yordy of Selinsgrove, granddaughter and her husband, Nicole E. and Jeffrey A. Watson of Frisco, TX and the light of his life, his great-granddaughter, Emma Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Robert Yordy.

At Terry's request there will be no viewing or funeral services.
