Janet Wolfe Wilson went to meet her Lord and Savior at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
Born April 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late George and Florence (Riland) Wolfe. In 1950, Janet graduated from Sunbury High School where she was an avid fan of the Owls' football team. Later in life, she became an avid Penn State football fan — attending home games and traveling to many away and Bowl games.
In August of 1952, she married John Wilson, a union lasting 31 years with his death in 1983.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her two brothers and sisters-in-law, Marlin and Grace Wolfe and John and Esther Wolfe.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jill and David Jackson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins. She was also Gigi to Kyle Smith and Cody Conway.
The family appreciates the loving care that Diane, Jacque, Jill, and Vickie gave to Janet.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, at the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ronald Murphy officiating.
Burial will follow in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
