William A Dill

William A. Dill, 62, of Susquehanna Trail Northumberland, PA, passed away at his home on March 15, 2017. William was born in Sunbury, PA on August 8, 1954 the son of the late Kenneth A. and Anna E. (Wenrick) Dill.

Bill graduated Shikellamy High School in 1972 and Bloomsburg State College in 1977 majoring in teaching history. He married Joan T. Thompson on September 17, 1983, she survives. Early in his career he was the purchasing agent for the Sunbury Community Hospital. He recently was the Warehouse Manager at SUMCD Co for thirteen years. He spent many years as a Boy Scout troupe leader in Sunbury. He was a member of the American Legion Post #44 in Northumberland. He played the guitar and sang; everyone knew him as a great story teller with a great sense of humor.

Bill is survived by his wife, brother Kenneth G. and Karen Dill of MD, sister Kathy A. and Norman Gessner of Sunbury, three nieces and a nephew.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are made by the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA.
