Sara "Sally" Bauman

Sara “Sally” Bauman, 73, of 243 S. 4th St. Sunbury, PA passed away on May 18, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center. She was born in Sunbury on April 12, 1944 the daughter of the late Charles and Sara (Bucher) Strausser.

Sally graduated Sunbury High School in 1963. She married David E. Bauman on September 1, 1963. In addition to being a wife and mother she was employed by Oakes Oil, the Wm. F. Gross Silkmill and Coles Hardware during her career. She was a member of the Susquehanna Valley Church of Christ. She loved to play darts for Goodwills Hose Co., playing games on her computer, camping, fishing and the beach.

Sally is survived by her husband, son David E. Bauman, Jr. of Sunbury, daughter Trudy and Joseph Dimeglio of Sunbury, step granddaughter Jocelyn Christie, sister Charlotte and Roy Kratzer of Selinsgrove, Debra Campbell of Sunbury and many nieces and nephews.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Sandy and Pat.

Friends and family may visit at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA. on Monday May 22, 2017 from 10 am. until the 11 am. funeral service with Evangelist James McIntyre officiating.
