Nicholas Rivera

Nicholas Rivera, 37, of 1953 Glendale Ave. Bethlehem, PA passed away on May 26, 2017. He was born in New York City, NY on December 3, 1979 the son of William (wife Theola) Rivera, Jr. and Olga Yapul.

Nicholas attended twelve years of school. He worked as a contractor laborer during his career. He was a sports fanatic, especially of the NY football Jets. He enjoyed cooking and eating. He was a good father, and especially enjoyed chillin’ with his children.

Nicholas is survived by his children: Alexis, Elijah, Angel and Isaiah, his father and step-mother William and Theola Rivera of Sunbury, aunt Awilda Rivera, aunt Mildred and Joseph Rivera, brother James and Laura Rivera, sister Venus Rivera-Mulligan, brother Juan Rivera, and brothers and sister through marriage: Kirt, Craig, Mark, Rachel and Daniel Gittens.

Nicholas was preceded in death by his grandmother Estrella Rivera and aunt Naomi Rivera-Martinez.

Friends and family may visit the Otterbein United Methodist Church 356 Vine St. Sunbury, PA on Tuesday from 10 to 11 am. A funeral service will be held at 11 am. with the Pastor Mark Gittens officiating. Interment will follow at the Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury, PA.

The family of Nicholas Rivera would like to encourage anyone struggling with a drug addiction to seek help.
