Mary A Brophy

Mary A.Brophy, 74, of Riverfront Apartments, Sunbury, passed away on December 15, 2017 at Mt. View Manor. She was borm in Pittsburg, Pa. on May 11.1943 and was reared in St. Paul,s Orphanage in Pittsburg, Pa. May worked as a nurse's aide at Blue Hill Nursing Home and then at various sub shops in Sunbury, Pa. She loved to sew, crechet, play cards and repair crafts. She was of the Catholic faith. Mary is survived by her daughters Sherry Ann Brophy and Sheila Brophy of Edison Street Sunbury, Pa and caregiver Maribel Plaza of Sunbury, Pa. She was preceded in death by her common law husband Albert F. Simko who passed away in 1988 and brother Kenneth Brophy. 

Friends and family may visit the David T Zweier Funeral Home, Inc  157 Chestnut Street Sunbury, Pa. on Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM with a memorial service at 11 AM with Staff Pastor Kurt Francis.officiating.
