Marie R (Feese) Oyster

Marie R. Oyster, 71, of Edison Ave., Sunbury passed away at the Sunbury Community Hospital on January 13, 2018. She was born in Lewisburg on January 31, 1946 the daughter of the late Bruce and Edna Feese. 

She graduated Mifflinburg High School and then married the Rev. Warren B. Oyster on May 16, 1966; he passed on November 11, 2005. Marie was a wife and mother who also worked in textile shops (Middleburg Yarn for 28 years) and other local factories. She loved various sports rooting for Penn State, the Seattle Seahawks and Richard Petty. 

She is survived by her son Kenneth E. Oyster of Sunbury, son Robert W. and Beverly Oyster of Sunbury, daughter Carol and Richard Rearden of Selinsgrove; three grandchildren, Christine, Matthew and Becky, brother Robert Feese of Washingtonville, niece Tina and nephews David and Jeremy.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson Benjamin. 

Friends and family may visit Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc., at 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury. A funeral service will be Thursday at 11 am with the Rev. Danny Brubaker officiating. Interment will follow at the Hartleton Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made to defray funeral expenses.
