Lenice D (Wirt) Yorks

Lenice D. Yorks, 67, of 25 Julia St. Sunbury, PA passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in Harrisburg on November 29, 2017.  She was born in Sunbury on April 22, 1950, the daughter of the late Elmer and Elva (Rothermel) Wirt.  She graduated Line Mountain H.S. in 1968. She worked as a book keeper for Mid Penn Insurance Co. and Deppen’s Loan Co. until she retired in 2004.  She loved reading, flowers, puzzles and shopping trips. 

She is survived by daughter Jennifer L. Farone of Sunbury, companion Paul Strohecker, brothers Richard D. Rothermel of Northumberland, Elmer L. and Ruth Rothermel Jr of Milton, sisters Doris J. Carl of Herndon, and Judy K. and Kenneth Badman of Northumberland, numerous nieces and nephews, and former husband Bill Farone.  

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are made by David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc., 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA.  Condolences may be made at davidzweierfuneralhome.com.
