Judith M. (Weary) Eichner

Judith M. Eichner, 74, of 245 N. River Ave. Sunbury, PA passed away August 11, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Judy was born in Lewisburg, PA on November 16, 1941 the daughter of the late John L. and Helen M. (Ocker) Weary.

Judy married her late husband Stewart W. “Stu” Eichner on September 7, 1962.

Judy graduated from Lewisburg High School in 1959. In addition to be a homemaker and mother she was employed and retired as a housekeeper at Geisinger Medical Center. She was also employed previously as a driver at Roher Bus Co. and Amity Leasing. She also worked at Blough-Wagner Co. in Middleburg and Stitches in Sunbury.

Judy actively served her community as the 1st Ward Judge of Elections for over forty years; she served in her daughter’s school PTA, was a Girl Scout leader, a Band Parent, and assisted in her church.

Judy was an avid Alabama “Crimson Tide” fan and enjoyed spending time at her family cabin in Glen Iron.

Judy is survived by her daughter Tracie L. Lesher and her companion Jason Wagner, her grandson Matthew S. Lesher all of Sunbury, her brother and his wife David and Lois Weary of Lewisburg, her sister-in-law and her husband Mary and Joe Logue of Bensalem and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may visit on Monday August 15, 2016 from 4:30 pm. to 5:55 pm. at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA. A funeral service will begin at 6 pm. with Pastor Scott Kosar of the Catawissa Ave. United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Catawissa Avenue UMC 319 Catawissa Ave. Sunbury, PA 17801. Condolences may be made at davidzweierfuneralhome.com.
