Jeanette E ((Haddock)Foieri) Witmer

Jeanette E. Witmer, 86, of Reagan Street Sunbury,  PA went to be with her Lord, surrounded by her loving family, at Geisinger Medical Center on September 13, 2017.

Jeanette was born January 11, 1931 the daughter of the late Modest B. and Thelma I. (Haddock) Foieri.  She graduated from Shamokin HS in 1948 and married Donald T. Witmer Sr. on December 1, 1951, who passed on December 21, 2005.

Jeanette was employed at various businesses including Moore Business Forms in Lewisburg and retired from Time Markets of Shamokin Dam.  She was a member of Emmanuel EC Church of Shamokin, PA.  She loved her family and her church. She enjoyed knitting and cooking.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children Joseph M. Witmer, Pamela J. Witmer,  and Thomas F. Witmer Sr., siblings, Betty Castantini, Jacqueline Tharp and John Foieri.

She is survived by her children: Donald T. (Laura) Witmer Jr. of Middleburg, and Teresa "Terri" L. (Levi) Yoder of Winfield, six grandchildren: Dawnette Fariello, Dawna (John) Moyer, D.T. (Mal) Witmer III, Thomas F. Witmer, Jr., Belinda Witmer and Troy (Delia) Witmer with whom she resided. Also five great grandchildren, sisters Jean Reed and Judy Sodrick, daughter-in-law Debbie Witmer, very special brother-in-law Glen C. Witmer and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. at 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 1 pm. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm. with Rev. Joshua Notestine officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.  Condolences may be made at davidzweierfuneralhome.com.
