Janet M (McComas) Jones

Janet M. Jones, 91, died June 13, 2017 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village. She was born on May 27, 1926 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Arthur Douglas and Janet Elizabeth (Duncan) McComas.

During the 1950s she worked at WBAL-TV in Baltimore where she sang with the big bands and met and married Robert J. Jones, who predeceased her. She is survived by daughters Janet D. and her husband Ben Marsh of Lewisburg, and Beth and her husband Bill Ahern of Nokomis, FL; four grandchildren, Duncan Jones of Lewisburg, Kathryn Ahern of Charlotte, NC, Kelsey Ahern of Charlotte, NC and Ryan Ahern of Nokomis, FL. She was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Douglas McComas, Jr.

The family will gather together for a memorial at a later date. Arrangements are made David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA.
