Eleanor R (Burd) Shultz

Eleanor R. Shultz, 78, of 130 S. Front St., Sunbury, PA passed away October 21, 2016 at Mountain View Nursing Home in Coal Township. Eleanor was born in Juniata County, PA on July 31, 1938 the daughter of the late Samuel H. and Dorothy I. (Varner) Burd.

Eleanor was a homemaker. A member of the Junior Women’s Club. She was an Avon lady for a time and was handy with crafts and refinishing furniture. She loved animals, especially her dogs: FiFi, Amy and Tyler. She was of the Christian faith.

Surviving are her three daughters and son: Crystal L. Kresge of Sunbury, Harry E. Lesher of Sunbury, Wanda J. Marino of Galloway, NJ, and Wendy L. Lesher of Galloway NJ, four grand children, six great grandchildren and two nieces and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Pauline Kline and Herbert L. Burd.

Friends and family may call at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA on Thursday from 6 to 7 pm. with a funeral service at 7 pm. with staff Pastor Kurt P. Francis officiating. Interment will be private.
