Clarence W "Bud" Snyder

Clarence W. “Bud” Snyder, Jr. 72, of 326 Catawissa Ave. Sunbury, PA passed away at Geisinger Medical Center on May 19, 2017. He was born in Sunbury on October 19, 1945 the son of the late Clarence W. and Rita Marie (Attig) Snyder Sr.

Bud attended Shikellamy High School and joined the US Air Force serving eight years during the Vietnam War. His working career took him to Sunbury Wire Rope, he was a security guard and constable for Northumberland County, and was a post man for the Sunbury Post Office from which he retired. He volunteered as a baseball coach and umpire. He was known for his great sense of humor, love for his garden and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed fishing. Bud’s favorite self reflection was, “I am pretty.”

Bud attended the Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church and his favorite Bible verse was, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

Bud is survived by his daughters Robin Snyder of Selinsgrove, and Natasha Snyder of Sunbury, son William Snyder of Sarasota, FL, grandson Dakota Snyder, two other grandchildren, and brother Stephen Snyder of Sunbury.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, wife Stacey Snyder, and daughter Jodi M. Snyder.

Friends and family may visit the Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church 967 Mile Hill Road Sunbury, PA on Saturday from 10 to 11 am. A memorial service will be held at 11 am. with the Pastor Joshua officiating. Arrangements are made David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA.
