Carol Joanne (Willow) Bingaman

Carol Joanne Bingaman, 70, of 233 N. 12th St. Sunbury, PA passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Carol was born in Juniata County, PA on July 13, 1946 the daughter of the late William Lee and Marietta Mae (Smith) Willow.

Carol was raised on a farm in Richfield, PA and graduated from East Juniata High School in 1964. Carol married her late husband Richard Bingaman, Sr. on September 16, 1965. She worked as a laborer for Mary McIntosh in Sunbury and PaperMagic for over twenty years. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Goodwills Hose Company and the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, her cats, riding motorcycles, and making arts and crafts especially plastic canvas and sewing. She was of the Christian faith.

Carol is survived by her children: daughter Carol A. and husband Adam F. Wilks, Sr. of Sunbury, son Richard H. Bingaman, Jr. and fiance’ Shannon Shrawder of Northumberland, son Wayne E. and wife Tonya Bingaman of Sunbury; six grandchildren: Tehani Stahl, Lacy Bingaman, Kara Herb, Kenneth Koons, Jr., Coty Alan Bingaman, and Rebekah Nicole Mae Wilks; two step-grandchildren: Alyssa and Kaitlyn Park; four great grandchildren Corbin John Stahl, Caylee Stahl, Alaina Koons, and Brooklynn Kristine Herb. Also surviving are brother Gene and wife Janet Willow of McAlisterville, niece Shirley Womer of Middleburg and great nephew Scott Womer of Winfield.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and husband, also infant Baby Girl Bingaman, and companion Delbert Groner.

Friends and family may visit on Thursday August 25, 2016 from 6 pm. to 8 pm. at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, PA. A funeral service will held on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 10 am. with Kurt P. Francis, Staff Pastor officiating. Interment will be at the Richfield Union Cemetery, Richfield, PA.
