Bruce C Weikel

Bruce C. Weikel, 55, of 424 N. Fourth St., Sunbury, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at the Sunbury Community Hospital.
He was born Dec. 11, 1960, in Shamokin, a son of the late Wilmer C. and Daisy L. (Michael) Weikel. On June 6, 1987, he married the former Carol A. Conrad who survives.

Bruce was a 1979 graduate of Shamokin High School and attended the Northumberland County Vo-Tech. 
He was employed in maintenance by Knoebel’s Amusement Resort.
He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Sunbury Social Club.
Bruce enjoyed the Wednesday night bowling league, wood working, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and NASCAR. He was a good cook and loved being his granddaughter’s “Pappy.”

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Steven A. and Amanda Weikel, of Northumberland; one granddaughter, Skylar R. Weikel; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cynthia and James Powell, of Shamokin, and Debra and Edmund Bordell, of Locust Gap; and two nephews and four nieces.

Friends and family will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 501 Catawissa Ave., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11, with Pastor Elinor Allison officiating. 
Interment will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.

Arrangements are by the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury.
