Ardath C (Hassinger) Dieck

Ardath C. Dieck, 88, of Sunbury passed away at the Lancaster Mennonite Home on December 30, 2017. She was born in Sunbury on October 4, 1929 the daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Conrad) Hassinger. She graduated Sunbury High School in 1947. She married Charles L. Dieck, Jr. on November 23, 1950, he passed away on January 27, 2006. 

Ardath was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and kept an immaculate home.

She is survived by her son Michael C. and his wife Deborah Dieck of Danville, daughter Cheryl D. and her husband Michael Hoffman of Lancaster, six grandchildren and their spouses: Aaron Hoffman and wife Beth, Brian Hoffman and wife Kelly, Jenna Moyer and husband Matthew, Ryan Dieck and wife Mandie, Eric Dieck and wife Jennifer, and Geoffrey Dieck and Jessica, twelve great grandchildren: Owen, Brycen, Lillia, Caden, Cylus, Luke, Landen, Gracie, Jameson, Chase, Camden, and Carter, sister Edith Marshall of Sunbury, brother Richard Hassinger of Camp Hill and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and eleven siblings.

Friends and family may visit the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc. 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury on Friday from 11 am to noon. A noon funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Timothy Moore. Interment will be at Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.
